Stuff to Listen To

Insónia

Inspired by a bout of insomnia, I recorded Insónia by Tiago Sousa.

Alozj Srebotnjak

I'm working on some new pieces and am putting up recordings of my practice sessions. I've used Audacity to tweak the files.

Nine Inch Nails

In February of 2005, I entered a contest sponsered by The NIN Hotline. The details are in The NIN hotline archives, but the short version is: record an acoustic version of a Nine Inch Nails song using sheet music from Know the Score. I actually won! (And got my prizes in 2009. Hi Leviathant. *waves*) Here are the two songs I submitted:

Firefly

If you haven't seen Firefly and Serenity, stop reading and go watch it now. Seriously, I can wait. Plus, this'll make more sense. I played at the 2009 Browncoat Ball here in Portland at the Governors Hotel. It's an annual shindig put on by Browncoats in a different city every year. Being a member of the PDX Browncoats, I donated some of my time to the cause. Listen to some music from Firefly (some of which I played at the Ball) written by Greg Edmonson:

Peter Gabriel

An unfinished and unpolished file for a friend. *cringe*

And three more tests.

Background noise

The clips that sound all professional were recorded by Mookie at Tyger Studios. The other clips were recorded by me with a Zoom H2 microphone in my bedroom (almost) solely for the purpose of figuring out what I need to practice more. Psst: Everything.
